Being your own boss and business owner has a lot of great perks, self employment requires self motivation. Although by the mere fact that you reading this article and have already read this far you must have some sort of self motivation. Your success is entirely up to you, how much you make will be determined by your efforts.
Although you will find that you’ll make more money than you have in the past in half the time, it can be easy to fall into lazy habits. As you start to get closer to 100K a year you are going to start having an 8 hour day maybe even a 15 hour day like I had once. I don’t know how young you may be but no matter, once you start working days like that you better have good discipline and lots of self motivation or you’re not going to make 100K a year in window cleaning. I have learned from starting my San Diego Window Cleaning company that working for 8 hours a day will make you tired so you’ll need discipline not to relive the glory days of high school staying up all hours of the night watching movies and playing Super Mario on your Nintendo.
It takes self motivation to look after all the different aspects of your business and the various things required to be in business. If you are wondering what those things are, its everything in my San Diego Window Cleaning articles. Some have said that a business owner works twice as hard as everyone else, in many respects this is true when you are first starting your business. The good news is I have laid it all out for you and have taken out the guess work. If you are motivated to read this book and implement what I am about to share with you, then you can succeed. Fortunately window cleaning is not that hard nor is being in business for yourself. It may seem like a daunting task but you will quickly see once you start that it’s very easy.
To be self motivated you also need a reason to go and do all the things that are required to run a business and learn something new. There are many reasons that can motivate people, for me it was to find a way to make money to support my family. I was fortunate to stumble upon window cleaning, as it was not my dream job. I had never given it a thought and would have never considered starting this business. You might be unemployed, or tired of your 9-5 job, maybe you want to find a way to freedom, whatever the reason be sure to remember that and hold onto it. Having a reason for self motivation will help you through the tuff times, going into something new is challenging and is not always easy.
